Located in the Swan Valley, just 30 minutes out of Perth, lies one of the Rich Heritage properties, of the Swan Valley. This beautiful historic property, known as The Olive Estate, has been designed with comfortable rustic style and quality in mind. The historic cottage as one of the buildings on the Estate, built-in 1927, was once the Home of the Saunders family. It is now the home of The Olive Tearooms.
The Olive Estate is situated on a high vantage point overlooking Perth hills. It is a boutique olive farm, producing the finest extra virgin olive oil and table olives. The Estate is now the new function centre in the Swan Valley with touches of olive themes. It is the perfect venue for any occasion, from small private parties to business corporate events and sundowners.
The Olive Estate reception centre offers:
- Various wedding ceremonial and reception areas, garden or Olive Grove settings.
- A rustic outdoor BBQ area with an open fire pit to warm up in winter days.

Arrive the night before your ceremony, enjoy a private dinner, have a relaxed breakfast the next morning, and prepare for your big moment. Family and guests can stay over the following night and depart after a leisurely breakfast. Choose your day, time and area for your special day.

The Reception Indoor
Large open area for stand-up functions or long table seating, anything can be arranged.
The indoor BBQ allows for fresh paellas or other hot freshly made finger food treats.
Functions
The Olive Estate is situated in one of the most charismatic and rustic parts of the Swan Valley. The elevations provide a scenic view of Perth’s surrounding hills.
Presentation equipment, additional tables and seating can be provided for corporate functions. The downstairs area also features a built-in sound system to provide ambient music or amplified voice for a presentation event.
Upstairs
Relax in the lounge with drinks before dinner.
The upstairs dining room offers seating for up to 20 guests. Guests are treated to a Chef’s table for all courses and simultaneously have a Masterclass!
Downstairs
The private downstairs bar, with full bar service by licenced beverage caterers. Beers on tap, cocktails and a good selection of wines available or bring your own!
The lower floor features an enclosed patio, for stand-up events or long-table seated meals. It’s also fitted with an indoor BBQ that can be utilised as a cosy fireplace in the winter or to cook for those who prefer to do it themselves. Floor-to-roof glass sliding doors open up onto a large lawn and garden area that is illuminated by soft festoon lights to make the experience even more magical.
An indoor lounge seating area offers additional and cozy space for guests to relax.
Outdoor
Gravelled and shady outdoor alfresco garden area for pre-dinner drinks or cocktails
The outdoor BBQ area, also known as a traditional South African style “Lapa” offers an open pit fire, outside cooking and BBQ facilities. Situated alongside the Olive Grove, this area offers a rustic and rural atmosphere that can accommodate large groups wanting a unique “wild” experience. Private catering and beverage services offered in a true outdoor style.
